LGBTQIA resources: Trevor Project & Transgender Law Center

There are many national resources for the transgender community. In this blog entry, I would like to give an overview of a few of them.

The Trevor Project, a nonprofit organization is focused on suicide prevention efforts for this community. The website offers information and guidance on a variety of topics, including educational inititiaves, research information and advocacy. They also include a unique section called "Trevor Space", an online community program that boasts membership over 400,000 strong.

The Transgender Law Center website represents the largest American transgender led civil rights organization in the United States of America. Offering a variety of legal services, including an attorney network, disability information and resources, this law center also offers information on career opportunities, internships and volunteer positions.
